Fran was role model for us all in CASM at the SUNY Albany Libraries. Her sense of integrity, her classiness, her leadership of those who reported to her set high standards for the whole library. She became my right hand as we struggled to enter the online era. She also became a personal source of comfort when things in my life got tough. She took it upon herself to make sure that my youngest daughter Margaret had a 'grandmother' in her life, since Margaret's real grandmothers were many miles away. I feel so lucky to have had Fran play all those many roles in my life as she did, combining graciousness and elegance with a sense of fun and a sparkle in her eye.
Thank you for everything, Fran! You are missed. Affectionately, Gill
