Obituary of Robert P. Fryer

Robert Patrick Fryer, 64 , entered into eternal life on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on November 21, 1952 in Albany, NY the son of the late Robert and Sally Mary Wagoner Fryer.
He was a 1970 graduate of St. Josephs Academy in Albany. Bob was employed at Albany Memorial Hospital for over 22 years as a Print Shop Operator, he was also the owner and pressman for Knob Hill Printing in Averill Park, NY for 15 years.
Bob was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #870 in Rensselaer, NY, the Leather stocking Railway Historical Society in Oneonta, NY, the PACC in Albany, Volunteer Fire Fighter at Pumper # 4 in Rensselaer, NY, Friend of Bill W. and Dr. Bob, He was a women's softball coach for Albany Memorial Hospital, member of S.L.S. and the Misfits Golf League.
Bob would like to thank all the friends of Bill W. who helped him achieve 28 years of sobriety.
In addition to his parents Bob was predeceased by his twin sister Sandra Fryer Carlino who died in 2015 also a grandson Xavier Fryer.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife; Barbara Bennett Fryer whom he married on October 23, 2004, three sons; Robert (Robin) Fryer, Frank (Charlotte Cray) Fryer and Andrew (Catey Carpenter) Fryer, his sisters; Dennise (Sandra Carlino) D'Amelio, Dawn (Robert) O'Donnell, Deborah (Barbara) Butler and Carlene Stoddard, his father- in- law; Mark (Jean( Bennett, Jr., mother in law; Pearl (Melvin) Bennett, Sister's-in-law; Beth (Steve) Berg, Lynn(Christopher) Mett, Lynette Bennett, Barbara Gee, Patricia Gee, Eden (Robert) Bennett-Graff, brother's-in-law; Matthew (Audrey) Bennett and Michael Gee, uncles; Daniel (Irene) Miller and Russell (Maria) Fryer, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also survived by his faithful four legged friends Blackie and Deanna.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road Loudonville. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 form 4-8 p.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home 1550 Route 9 Clifton Park. Entombment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
