Willy you will be so missed! I thought of you just the other day. Your wonderful smile, your kindness, and you gave the BEST hugs! We worked together in the capital, and again at OGS when you worked for the assembly. You were kind and gentle to a nervous "baby of the office" fellow state worker. You made me feel welcome, and were just an all around decent guy. I will miss you my friend. I know heaven has a special place for you. Someday I will see you there!
Love Robin

I am so, so sorry for the lose of such a sweet friend. Willy and I shared so many good times both with CSEA and the ALBANY Democratic Party functions. He was a kind, loving big teddy bear of a man. I will miss that beautiful smile and those all encompassing hugs.
I so wish I knew he was hospitalized because I would have been there in a heart beat.
Thank you for making every occasion a brighter occasion. Thank you for being you Willy. To not have known and loved you would have been the greater loss.

To Willie's family,
My heart is saddened by the news of Willie being called home. He was truly a wonderful man with a gentle manner and kind heart. I met Willie when we were both younger men and worked together pumping gas at a local gas station. We would work the afternoon shift together and during the evening there was a an Italian bakery that would make fresh bread nightly. Many times Willie and I would buy ourselves a loaf each. Slice them open and let a stick of butter melt throughout that fresh bread. And like a couple of young teenagers, we would laugh and giggle as we tried not to get melted butter all over faces.... And for some reason, Willie could always drink a coke faster than me. It was in those moments that I saw the real Willie and his True character as a good man.
Along with Willie, those good friends Bruce and Dean were also laughing right along with us. I was blessed to have them be a part of my life. I have never forgotten those silly but fun moments we shared and carry them in my heart always.
Please know my heart grieves with you. I pray that all the happy memories you share will help you during this difficult time. May God Richly bless Willie and those he loved !

I'm so sad to learn this. Although I've not seen him much lately, we shared some great times together many years ago. I dare anyone to say that they spent time with him and didn't have so many laughs their sides ached. Farewell my friend
