My deepest condolences on the loss of Jimmy. All of us who worked with him at the Columbia-Greene Educational Center were so fortunate to share in his great sense of humor, his infectious smile and the enjoyment he brought to his students and co-workers each day. It was a delight to know him and to work with him. I will cherish so many wonderful memories, including his holiday "rap" song, and his famous Halloween costumes, and all the other qualities that made him so endearing. My sympathies to all the family, and sending you my prayers during this sad time, from Lynn Seftner.

I send my sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Jimmy Rhoads. I knew Jimmy and his father as colleagues at Questar III BOCES. Jimmy worked with students with special needs with whom he always shared his love of cooking. His upbeat personality always made his classroom a happy place for students and staff. His enthusiastic participation in building-wide events that shared our commitment to our community at large (Veteran's Day luncheon, Classic Car Show and BBQ, etc.) was commendable. He wanted to help anyone that needed assistance. We miss him dearly.

Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting james in college while we were studying culinary arts together. He was such a fun person to be around and for 2 years I had the pleasure of being one of his friends. I hadn't seen him in 18 years but that just goes to show his character because his impact in people's lives will last a lifetime. I was truly hoping that our friend pete would reconnect us.
I Know your pain all too well as my brother passed away 2 months ago. I wish I had words to bring you some sort of peace but there aren't any. Just take comfort in the fact that you have an angel looking over your family. If I remember one thing about James it's how much he loved his family.

We have so many wonderful memories with Jimmy from many years ago. Jimmy was a one of a kind soul. His laugh and smile were contagious and will not be forgotten. He always took time to ask how you were doing every time you saw him. He cared, he was selfless. He touched every single person he met in a positive way. My heart breaks for all of his family and those who knew him. The last time we saw him he was a new dad for the first time and he was beaming with pride of Elora. Now he will shine down on her as her angel.

I’m so very sorry for the loss of James or as he told me to call him “Jimmy Joe”. We knew each other from Questar III back a few years ago. What a loving and caring person that I’m so grateful to have known. As life brings people in different directions, I drifted from Jimmy Joe in person but stayed connected to him over FB and I will miss his huge smile even if it was from a distance. I was so glad to have followed his beautiful family and to see the joy it brought to him. Jimmy Joe you will be missed dearly and thank you for the memories from Questar III, Applebee’s in Glenmont, Alive at 5 and thank you for being a friend. Tara, Elora, Julie, James, and Linda I’m so very sorry for your loss and you will all be in my heart. ❤️ Love always, Krissy

I had the pleasure of working with James at Regeneron before he left Mazzones. Please accept my sincerest sympathies. James and I loved to discuss baseball and how both our teams(Cubs and Mets) were never very good. I miss those talks and closing building 85 with James everyday. The world is a sadder place without you in it bro. God bless
