Mary A. Turino

February 28, 1935 - January 18, 2021 - 85 Years Old

Mary passed away peacefully after a struggle with Lewy Body Dementia at her residence at Eddy Village Green in Cohoes, NY.

A child of first generation Polish immigrants, born during the Great Depression, Mary lived in South Troy at 498 4th Street for the majority of her life with her family. Mary will be remembered for her energizing spirit and for her love and devotion to her family and helping others in her community. She worked for over 50 years at Samaritan Hospital in the Radiology Department until retiring at the age of 82. Mary “T” loved her job and had made many lifelong friendships there.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Blase. She is survived by her daughter; Gina and spouse James Doring. Her greatest gifts in life were her grandchildren; Tony (Brittany) and Mia (Anthony). Mary is also survived by her sisters; Carol Dillon (John), Theresa Shimp (Richard) and her brother Tom Glaz (Carol). Mary leaves behind many special nieces and nephews whom she always loved spending time with. She is also survived by her loving Turino Family.

Gina and family would like to thank her many friends and relatives who visited her regularly and always remembered her with a card or a note. They would also like to thank the staff at the Eddy Village Green and Hospice staff for caring for her.

Per Mary’s request, there will be no service.
