Obituary of Ellen Augusta Arnold

Ellen A. Arnold, 91, of the Eddy Village Green, died on Sunday June 20, 2021 at her residence after a long illness.  She was born on August 1, 1929 in Providence, RI and was the daughter of the late John and Beatrice Higgins Peabody.  Ellen was the wife of the late Bradford Arnold.  Ellen enjoyed playing bingo, bowling and travelling with her husband.  She loved to knit and crochet.  Ellen had been an election poll watcher for a number of years and had been a communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park. 

She is the devoted mother of Deborah (Vincent) DelGuidice, Wayne (Diane) Arnold and Sharon (Steve) Laskoski; sister of the late Edwin, Margaret and Charlotte; grandmother of Tom (Carissa) Job, Stacy (Tony) Suriano, Katie and Rachel DelGuidice; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be private on Tuesday with the interment in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation and thanks to the entire staff of Bldg. 3 at the Eddy Village Green and Kay Weir for all of their support.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Douglasville, GA, Alzheimer’s or to Community Hospice.
