Obituary of Robert C. Jackson

Robert C. Jackson, 52, of Schenectady, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at home on Thursday, April 21, 2022.

Born in Troy, New York, he was the son of the late Alfred B. and Lillian Romaine Jackson.

Robert was educated in the Troy City Public Schools and had been employed at RPI in Troy.

He loved spending time with family and friends and playing with his grandkids. Robert was a diehard Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed fishing. For many years he also loved training and spending time with his loving dogs, Spot & Sabree, who predeceased him.

Devoted father of ShaQuinta Jackson, Devin Rowden, Eric VanBuren and Jordan Woodward, brother of Thomas “Henry” Jackson, Arub “Cookie Jackson” Lewis, Richard Jackson, Barbara Jackson, and the late Jacqueline Jackson, and George Jackson, cherished grandfather of Isaiah Johnson, Jr., Nova Kealon, Aubrei Rowden, Devin Rowden, Jr., Anthony VanBuren, Gabriella VanBuren, Jordan Woodward Jr., Kane Woodward, and the late Jovani Woodward, also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the Home Going Service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Ave (at the corner of 115^th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182.

Interment will be held in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
