Obituary of Kathleen M. Snare
Kathleen M. “Kathy” Newbold Snare, 69, of Brunswick, beloved wife for over 52 years of the late Alfred Joseph Timothy “Tim” Snare, peacefully entered into eternal life on Friday, April 29, 2022.
Born in Schenectady, New York, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Aileen Blanchard Newbold and was a graduate of Linton High School in Schenectady and earned her LPN through Boces
Kathy was self employed and was a caregiver to many at her Rainbow Garden daycare in Brunswick.
She loved birds, animals and to knit hats and blankets which were then distributed by her husband at the Rensselaer County Senior Center.
Mrs. Snare was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church in Sycaway
Devoted mother of Tracey Snare of Troy and the late Lisa Ann Snare who is survived by her life-partner Alyn Lewis, cherished grandmother of Alana Snare, sister of Karen (Carl) Stoner, Janet (John) Rizzo and the late John “Jack” Newbold, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Ave (at the corner of 115th Street in Lansingburgh) Troy, NY 12182.
The Snare family wishes to express their most sincere gratitude to the Samaritan Hospital ICU as well as to the Capstone Center rehabilitation unit.
In lieu of flowers, the family desires that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN, in memory of Kathleen M. Snare.
