Obituary of Georgianna Kinloch Polite

Georgianna Polite, 94, of Par Del Rio passed away on Thursday May 19, 2022 at her home in the loving care of her family.  She was born on May 3, 1928 in Berkley County, Charleston, SC and was the daughter of the late Mackey and Henrietta (Patsy) Wright Kinloch.  Georgianna was educated in the Charleston,  SC school system.  She had been a mental hygiene therapist aide for the New York State Dept. of Mental Health working at the  Brooklyn Developmental Center.  She had been an active member of the Shenendehowa United Methodist Church in Clifton Park.  She was a member of the Clifton Park Senior Citizens and was also a election poll watcher for the Town of Clifton Park. 

She is the devoted mother of Mildred Polite Smith of Clifton Park and Bobby L. (Lucinda) Kinloch of Atlanta and the late James “Crow” Kinloch, Evelyna Kinloch and Stephanie Polite; dear sister of Mary Kinloch and the late Ellabell, Corine, Rebecca, Rosalie, Lizzie, Arthur and Edward; cherished grandmother of Glenn, Bianca, Mitaja, Quiana, Ronajia, Stephon and Terrance “TJ”; great grandmother of Nasiyah, Najir, Zyir, Niyah “Miss Princess”, Alessandro, Lennox and Levius;  also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-6 pm in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065 with a funeral service at 5:00 pm in the funeral home.

A funeral service and burial will be next week in Charity Church and cemetery in Charleston, SC.
