Obituary of Usha Rani Gumber

Usha Rani Gumber, 82, of Watervliet, NY, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022.

Born and educated in Fatyabad Punjab, India, she was the daughter of the late Jeevan Lal Shinghari and the late Ram Pyari and was the beloved wife of the late Ram Murti Gumber.

Usha was a devoted wife, and a loving mother and grandmother. She loved spirituality and to cook for family, friends and even strangers.

Devoted mother of Bharti Sarin, Sawtanter Bharti (Shagun Bharti), Vivek Bharti (Vimala Thalody), Bhavna Sethi (Lt. Rajiv Sethi), cherished grandmother of Surabhi Verma(Vipul Verma), Sarthak Sarin, Aidin Bharti, Surya Bharti, Bhavika Sethi, Devakshi Bharti, Priyanka Sethi, Aanya Bharti, Uma Bharti, also blessed with a large Gumber family in India, and four sisters in India, two of who survive her.

Visitation was held on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, New York 12065.

Hindu service with cremation is being held on Tuesday morning, October 4, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at the Gardner Earl Crematory in Oakwood Cemetery (for GPS directions please use 186 Oakwood Avenue, Troy, NY 12182).

Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society in Menands, NY or to the Albany Hindu Temple in Loudonville, NY.

Her family would like to extend their most sincere appreciation and gratitude to her Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Albany Medical Center for their wonderful and loving care and friends for their kind support.
