I was blessed to have worked with Karen for many years at Augusta Health in Fishersville. Her kindness, compassion and joy she bought to each of her patients was incredible. I am so saddened to hear of her passing. When I got married she was my wedding coordinator and did a wonderful job! For my shower gifts she humbly gave me two of her own precious items a cookbook and an ornament that were very meaningful to her which I still treasure. However the best gift she ever gave me was an invitation to go to church with her. That simple invitation changed my life and allowed me to renew my faith in Jesus to prepare me for what was ahead for me. She was such an important person in my life and the life of others and will be missed so much.

My dad called her "Sunshine" and there was no better name for her. Her smile and bigger than life personality brought sunshine to our home every time she walked through the door. A big sister to me as I was growing up, bringing me for ice cream, to fly a kite and to the movies. I can't think of her without smiling. My love and deepest sympathies to all of her family.

Saddened to learn of Karen's death, my deepest condolences to all.
I was blessed to work with Karen at many Cindy's Retreats.
Her compassion, dedication, sense of humor and sincere interest in each
individual was an inspiration - Karen made a difference in all our lives.
We are fortunate to have earth angels walk among us, Karen was one of them - she will be missed.
Sincerely,
Donna Bassett

This is to the greatest woman and my oldest female cousin who did everything without a response. No one loved me more than you without a question. You showed me faith and admiration without a doubt. I loved you more than I let you realize and for that I love you beyond measure! Rest In Peace Sweet Lady…love you ALWAYS!!!!

Karen worked with me at St Peter's Hospital before going to work at Glen Falls Hospital. She was a bright light and a devoted patient advocate, She possessed a great sense of humor and always kept us laughing in the Case Management Department. She was a joy to be around and will be missed. I am so sorry for your loss.
