Obituary of Catherine DeLillo

Catherine DeLillo (nee Chiaravalle) formerly of Coburg Village in Rexford, died peacefully on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at her daughter’s home in Charlotte, NC at the age of 98. She was born in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn and was the daughter of the late Leopoldo Chiaravalle and Carmella (nee Florentino) Chiaravalle. Catherine was predeceased by her husband of sixty years, Cono DeLillo, in 2008. She raised her family in Valley Stream, NY and was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. While a resident of Coburg Village, she was an active volunteer coordinating tag sales, pizza parties, and New Year’s Eve celebrations. She was a communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park, NY.

Catherine is the beloved mother of the late Marianne (Michael) Raso, Lorraine (Laurence) DeLillo-Miller, and Barbara (James) Watson; cherished sister of Patrick Chiaravalle and Mary Anne Fermin and the late Nancy Aloia and Dominick Chiaravalle; step-daughter of the late Josepine Chiaravalle; dear nana to Valerie, Diane, Jordan, Robin, Bryan, Jeffrey, Christopher, Madeleine, James, and Courtney; great grandmother of ten and aunt to many dear nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held on Monday Dec. 12, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Rd. Clifton Park, NY 12065 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Calling hours will be from 6-8 pm Sunday in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Entombment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, NY.
