Obituary of Terry Lee Sanders

Terry Lee Sanders, 65, of Lansingburgh, 33 year loving companion of John H. Bussing, Sr., peacefully entered into eternal life on Monday, January 16, 2023 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY.

Born in Troy, she is the daughter of Margaret Gumlaw Sousie and the late Lawrence Sousie. She was educated in Troy at P.S. 2 and P.S. 5

Terry Lee was employed for 17 year at Hans Cleaners in Clifton Park until 1992.

She loved playing BINGO and going to the casino. Terry Lee also loved going for rides with John in Goldie and watching her son run Demolition Derby. 

Survivors in addition to her companion John H. Bussing, Sr. and her mother Margaret Sousie, include three  children; Tonya Sanders (Debbie Grace), Thomas Sanders (Katrina Brammer) and Scott Bussing (Cassandra Morlock) and Kaydence Bussing, a grandchild who Terry Lee and John have raised since birth that she calls  “Mom” and “Poppy”, six stepchildren; Tanya Bussing, John H. Bussing, Jr., George Bussing, Christine Bussing, James Bussing and Jennifer Bussing, sister of Mark (Lisa) Sousie, Susan (Jerry) Mehan, Keith (Candace) Sousie and Karen (John) Wagar and the late Darlene O’Malley, also survived by 32 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 12 Noon where at Noon a Funeral Service will be celebrated at the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue, Troy, New York 12182.

Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to the Mohawk & Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204, in memory of Terry Lee Sanders.
