My condolences to Christine and the extended Wood family. Rex was a consummate law enforcement professional who brought his expertise to his career balanced by his caring for Veterans and the VA staff. He was always thoughtful in his approach and considerate in exploring new ideas to accomplish the job. Rex had a dry but great sense of humor which would come out when he was coaching the collective management staff on what we didn't know about his field. He will be missed.

Rex it was a real pleasure working with you on the workers comp investigations. You truly were a man on a mission traveling across Visn 2 determined to get any piece of evidence. Thank you for your service to our country, your dedication to your fellow veterans at the Albany VAMC and your friendship. Rest peacefully my friend. Rex, I can never thank you enough for all the help, support and guidance you gave me when I first arrived at the VA to work as a cardiology section nurse and then when I joined the military, giving me advice for my 2 deployments. You were and are my military brother, always. I was sad when you retired but happy for you, I am very glad you and Christine did all the traveling and enjoying life when you both retired. Christine, I am so sorry for your loss. Sending you many prayers.

My dearest Rex. I was so lucky to have you come into my life. You always supported me through the good and the bad, and I always knew I could count on you. We traveled a difficult journey together these last 26 months but that does not overshadow the fabulous life we shared over the past 26 years.
