Obituary of Cristi J. Hansen

Cristi J. Hansen, 62, of Troy, peacefully passed away with her family at her side on Sunday, March 5, 2023.

Born in Troy, New York, she was the daughter of the late Raymond G. and Judith H. Hansen and was a graduate of Tamarac High School, Class of 1978.

Cristi was most recently employed at RPI in Troy and had previously worked at Sterling-Winthrop in Rensselaer, and CoroMed in North Greenbush.

Cristi was a kind person who enjoyed observing the events around her always with a smile on her face.  She loved to dance and she and Chuck shared the love for the songs of Journey which will always trigger memories. Her son Andrew was the light of her life whom she would give and do anything for. She was an avid foosball player in the day partnering with Steve and they could hold a table for several hours.   She always giggled at Doug with his one liners and sense of humor.  She was the “big sister” to Karen and could always pick up right where they left off.   She was a hard worker who always spoke highly of her co-workers.  She loved her “kids” at RPI and looked forward to going to work every day.  She always looked forward to coming home to her kitty, Bella, who was her delight after a full day at work.  

Beloved 38 year companion of Charles Loggie, devoted mother of Andrew Loggie, loving sister of Steven (Shirley) Hansen, Doug (Marybelle) Hansen and Karen (Kevin) Hickey, also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and her beloved kitty, Bella.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Morris-Stebbins-Miner & Sanvidge Funeral Home, 312 Hoosick Street, Troy, NY 12180

Cristi’s family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the ICU Staff at Samaritan Hospital for the wonderful care they gave to Cristi.
