Our deepest condolences to Jane's family.
Jane lived in the Eddy Village Green with our mom Agnes Pero. We have great memories of Jane celebrating mom's 101th birthday. Jane loved talking about the Yankees with my husband. Their team favorite.
A very special woman indeed!
Our prayers for the family at the passing of an incredible lady.

Q: What will you never forget about Jane?
A: Jane and I first met at Samaritan and quickly became friends. She did more to help me and promote our Respiratory Care department than any Madison Ave. ad group could ever have done. She treated me as though I was a part of her family, and we had so many great personal and professional times together. As our friendship grew, it included Bill, Karen and Nancy. Through the years we all were at Samaritan, there were many triumphs and some tragedies but what a solid group the Chouinieres were and largely because Jane was the leader.
Life took us all in different directions, but I have never forgotten everything that Jane did for me and what she meant to me. Mary Kay and I send our deepest sympathy to all of her family. Jane Chouiniere was truly one of a kind.

I went all through St. Augustine's School with Nancy. I remember birthday parties and sleepover parties being such great fun! Mrs. Chouiniere, Jane, was one of my favorite 'mothers', whether a comforting presence at school, or the mom of the parties at her home. She was a good listener, always so kind, and patient with all of the tweens!
I remember artistic place cards specially made for each of us at Nancy's birthday party table!
It is no wonder that after all these years, I still remember Mrs. Chouiniere so very fondly.
Sincere condolences,
L

Q: What was one of your favorite qualities of Jane?
A: Aunt Jane was one of the coolest people I have ever known. She had a talent for bringing people together. Some of my happiest childhood memories are of pool parties at her house, which were full of chaos and laughter.
As I got older, I came to appreciate her wisdom. On a short visit to Arizona, I remember talking with her about the world's problems and the sense of despair that could cause. She agreed but also pointed out that at the same time, we were lucky to be there together on a beautiful day. Her determination to live in the moment and appreciate the good things is something I've tried to emulate.
Aunt Jane could also be counted upon to share family lore, along with interesting facts, photos, and artifacts from her genealogical research.
She will be greatly missed.

Q: What will you never forget about Jane?
A: Aunt Jane was an incredible person. Our families were very close growing up. Lots of cookouts, vacations at Brant Lake and holidays spent together and always laughing and having a great time. She always threw great parties, many of which are legendary and make me smile now thinking of them. Living back in the area in the 80's I would visit her at work and there were many spontaneous Friday Happy Hours poolside at Jane's that were incredible. Laughter was always font and center, Yankees on the radio and refreshments on ice. She was a master of parties and loved having us around as much as we loved her for putting up with us again and again.
As kid cousins making charcoal ink and bowling in the basement and being terrified of "snake rock" in their back yard there was Aunt Jane, smiling. When we were busted for swimming in the reservoir she stood up for us and laughed about it later. There are so many memories. She was always my favorite and I'm thankful for the time we spent together. She was one of a kind!
