Obituary of Surbhiben S. Desai

Surbhiben S. Desai, 75, of Sand Creek Rd. died on Wednesday Oct. 11, 2017 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Baroda GJ India on May 7, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Narendrabhai and Trilochanaben Desai Munshi.  She was a graduate of M.S. University with her dual masters in Education and administration.  She was the beloved wife of the late Somabhai Desai who died on April 25, 2015.  Surbhiben retired as the vice-principal from Bharti Vidhyalay in Baroda GJ India after 35 years working in the education system.  She came to the United States in 1996.

Surbhiben is the devoted mother of Pathik (Sonal) Desai of Toronto, Canada and Bhavik (Sonia) Desai of Colonie, NY; sister of Purnimaben, Urmiben, Kaluben, Rajeshbhai, amitbhai and Shreyasbhai; also survived by 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Hindu funeral service will be held on Saturday Oct. 14, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Gardner Earl Chapel at Oakwood Cemetery 186 Oakwood Ave. Troy, NY 12182.
