Obituary of Rose M. Finan

Rose M. Finan, 85, formerly of Lansingburgh died Saturday Nov. 19, 2016 at the Riverside Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Castleton, NY. She was born on Oct. 23, 1931 in Troy and was the daughter of the late John and Mary Esposito Nusca. She was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1952 and was the beloved wife of the late John J. Finan, who she married on July 1, 1956. He died in1993. Rose retired from Rensselaer County Dept. of Social Services after more than 20 years of service. She was a member of the Troy Senior Citizens, the Writers Workshop and was appreciated for her soulful poetry. She had been a longtime communicant of St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh. She is the devoted mother of Joseph A. (Sue) Finan of Melrose, NY Mary Terese (Anthony) Pellegrino of Desert Hills, AZ and Rose Marie (Patrick) Wells of Averill Park, NY; twin sister of Antoinette (Luke) Tripp of Melbourne, FL and the late Ralph Nusca and Michael Nusca; cherished grandmother of Joseph, Jr., Laura and Katie Finan, Jake and Marissa Wells, Staff Sergeant Fiore Pellegrino and Anthony Pellegrino, Jr.; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Monday Nov. 28th at 11:30AM from St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be from 3-6 pm Sunday, Nov. 27th in the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc. 565-4th. Ave. Troy, NY 12182 (corner of 115TH. street & 4th.
