Obituary of Manjul Kumar Shukla

Manjul Kumar Shukla, 80, of Latham, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY.

Born and educated in Kanpur, U.P., India, he was the son of the late Ram Kumar Shukla and the late Premlata Bajpai Shukla and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Kanpur as well.

Mr. Shukla retired approximately 25 years ago in India where he was self employed as a jeweler.

Mr. Shukla was an epitome of simplicity and generosity. Hospitality was an awesome feature which he exhibited. All will remember him for his great sense of humor, always being so full of life and for his mischievous smile. He lived such a happy life and loved nothing more than spending time with his family.  
He was also very fond of food, eating and even a cocktail, particularly a little bit of Chivas Regal scotch. He was known to enjoy the pleasures of bananas and a simple piece of toast or two. As a provider, he could always be relied upon by his family regardless of the need. He also loved to watch tennis.

Beloved husband of Saraswati Mishra Shukla, devoted father of Vineeta Tiwari, Kavita (Dr. Neeraj) Dwivedi, Sarita (Gopal) Misra, Gauri (Gurjit “Sonny”) Brar, Bharat (Riddhima)Shukla, brother of Mrs. Shyamlata Misra and Mrs. Maya Dixit, cherished grandfather of 9 grandchildren and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gardner Earl Memorial Chapel and Crematorium at Oakwood Cemetery (for GPS, please use 186 Oakwood Avenue, Troy, NY 12182).
